About

Jack Houweling is the founder of Jackspiano  and Jax-design. He is a piano tuner, rebuilder and concert technician. He has worked on pianos for over 35 years. He studied in Vienna with Bosendorfer and New York with Steinway. He currently takes care of pianos for 2 universities, recording studios and private clients. He has made many tools and jigs for the piano industry and combines this with his second passion, woodworking.

My Story

I was born in  Vancouver British Columbia and my dad  was a piano technician so we spent many hours in the workshop with pianos and woodworking. When I was 5 years old I would go in the shop and build things.

I still work on pianos and when I come home I like to work in my shop. I like inventing redesigning things and making woodworking projects and sharing them on Youtube.

I am always thinking and like new ideas and want to create, so hopefully I can teach and inspire you how to make things.

                  Helping you build things

Best of luck with your woodworking and innovations, and feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions.

I have been thinking about how to construct a Marking Gauge and I have a couple of ideas on how to make it. Have you ever considered making one ?

  7. When I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and after this each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment. Perhaps there is by any means you are able to remove me from that service? Thanks! https://royalcbd.com/faq/
